Commissioned by the town of Woodstock, Virginia, this installation makes use of computer controlled H.I.D. light fixtures arrayed around the base of a newly constructed municipal water tower. The tower is positioned on sightlines parallel to U.S, interstate 81 and is visible from several miles from either northward or southbound approaches. Through the use of sequenced color changes projected on different portions of the tower and sequencing with an astronomical timer, the installation will function as a clock with the color references taking the place of a numeric display.
