Incorporating both present architectural features and the latest in light technology, McDaniel College stands an example of state-of-the-art lighting design.
Taking advantage of an existing metal soffit, Vox designers positioned metal halide lamps as to up light this feature. The effect was successful in directing the light both horizontally and vertically, thus eliminating the need for further ground illumination along the main corridor.
In addition to metal halides, dimmable fluorescents, halogens, and flush-to-grade landscape fixtures light the interior and exterior spaces.
